Biography of Jennifer Delgado
Jennifer Delgado is an American broadcast meteorologist known for serving as a freelance meteorologist for FOX 5 News WAGA-TV based in much of Atlanta. She also serves as a temporary replacement for the station’s chief meteorologist on all programs. Prior to FOX 5 News, Delgado spent time working as a freelance weather reporter and meteorologist for CNN International Commercial from 2008 to 2013. She has also appeared as a freelance meteorologist for Atlanta-based WXIA News since 2017.
Delgado was born and raised in the small town of St.Louis, Missouri. She grew up in a middle-class Latin American family as the middle child in her family. Jennifer was lucky enough to finish her high school studies at a private school located in her hometown of Missouri. She then enrolled at Webster University and earned her first bachelor’s degree in media and communications. Jennifer then furthered her education at Mississippi State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geosciences and Broadcast Meteorology.
Delgado began his career in 2008, joining CNN as a meteorologist and meteorologist. During her time at CNN, she became known for covering the latest hurricanes that hit the United States during different seasons. Delgado even analyzed different data from so many sources and produced her own weather reports at the station until her official departure in 2013. She also covered other weather events such as earthquakes and tornadoes while at CNN.
Jennifer then joined The Weather Channel in Atlanta. Her work was so incredible that she was listed among the TWC’s top meteorologists by the famous Atlanta magazine. She spent three years at The Weather Channel before leaving and joining WXIA News in 2017. Delgado now appears as a freelance meteorologist for WXIA News and FOX 5 WAGA News since 2019.
