Kelly Cass is an American meteorologist who currently works as a weatherman on The Weather Channel since joining the station in January 2000. She appears every Saturday and Sunday morning from 5 am to 9 am ET on AMHQ weekends. Cass also fills in during the week. Prior to joining The Weather Channel, Cass was a weekday weatherman at WRGB-TV, the CS affiliate in Schenectady, New York.
Cass worked at WRGB-TV for seven years. While here, she was awarded the New York State Broadcasting Awad for “Best Storm Coverage” during the 1993 blizzard. Most notably, Cass began her career as an associate producer and later presenter of the week’s weather on WTZA-TV ( now WRNN).
Following her formal credentials, she earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Adelphi University in Long Island, New York. She also holds an international stallion certificate from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. Additionally, Cass holds the National Weather Association Seal of Approval, a broadcast meteorologist certificate from Mississippi State University, and is a full member of the American Meteorological Society.
