Kim Powell is an award-winning American journalist who currently serves as a general reporter for 3TV and CBS5 in Phoenix, Arizona. She joined the station in July 2018. Previously, she spent three years as a reporter at WINK in Fort Myers, FL.
In those three years, Powell traveled to the east coast to cover Hurricane Matthew, which nearly lost the hotel it was staying at. In the following years, she reported living in her own home during Hurricane Irma, which ravaged the southwest. Florida. After the storm, she walked the streets in waders telling the countless stories of survival, loss and despair.
