Lisa Meadows is an Emmy Award-winning American meteorologist who currently works for WCCO-TV in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as the weather forecaster for the weekend evening news. Meadows also anchors WCCO Noon News Monday through Wednesday, CBSN Minnesota Saturday through Wednesday, and is a general assignment reporter Monday through Wednesday.
Lisa participated University of Valparaiso and graduated with a BA in Meteorology-Math Minor & BA Communications with a major in Mathematics. While at the institution, she was a member of the Storm Chase team at the University of Valparaiso. Lisa completed a storm chasing class that included traveling 5,626 miles across the Great Plains over the course of 10 days chasing storms.
While in Valparaiso, Lisa was the chief meteorologist for her university TV station VUTV, president of the Northwest Indiana American Meteorological Society/National Weather Association, and an active person on the University of Valparaiso’s Storm Interception Team (VUSIT).
Meadows started his meteorology career in the year 2013, working for Lakeshore News and WYIN TV. She also did some internships with Amy Freese-Fox Chicago and Tom Skilling-WGN before starting her professional career in meteorology.
Lisa is the president of the American Meteorological Society and the Indiana-based National Meteorological Association. Later, she joined WCCO-TV in the year 2018 as a meteorologist in the Twin Cities where after her introduction to the WCCO team it was described as a major weather shock.

During her broadcasting career at CBS Sacramento, Lisa also had the opportunity to explain in depth the forecast and scientific details during the 2017 Atlantic hurricane season, which brought extreme devastation from Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.
When she’s not working, Lisa volunteers as a K9 Search and Rescue handler with Northstar’s Search and Rescue Team. She and her K9 “Thunder” team are certified in Wilderness II tracking/tracking. They work with Northstar SAR to help locate missing persons in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Meadows is also a National Certified Search and Rescue Technician II.
