Liz Cheney Biography
Liz Cheney is an American lawyer and politician who was serving as the only member of Congress from Wyoming in the United States House of Representatives since 2017. She is the Chair of the House Republican Conference, the third-highest position in the House Republican leadership. Additionally, Liz is the third woman to be elected to that position after Deborah Pryce and Cathy McMorris.
She is the eldest daughter of former US Vice President Dick Cheney and his wife Lynne Cheney.
Cheney partially attended sixth and seventh grades in Casper, Wyoming, while his father campaigned for Congress. She later joined McLean High School, graduating in 1984, where she was an active cheerleader. She then participated Colorado College for a Bachelor of Arts degree.
In 1996, Cheney received a JD degree from University of Chicago School of Law after also taking courses in Middle Eastern history at Oriental Institute.
