Mike Armstrong is a Canadian journalist who currently works as Global National Quebec Correspondent. He has been with Global National since it first aired in September 2001. As Quebec’s national correspondent, he has covered stories in every corner of the province.
Mike’s work has taken him beyond Quebec as well, covering some of the biggest stories of this generation. He covered the Indonesian tsunami, Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf, and the Haiti earthquake. Armstrong is proud to say he has had the opportunity to report from every province in Canada.
Like any journalist, there is always a story that we are remembered for. One of the highlights of Mike’s career was in 1997, during the Quebec ice storm. He was one of the few reporters sent to investigate how families were coping with the incident.
