Paul Washer biography
Paul Washer is an American Protestant Christian evangelist with a Calvinist theology affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. He is also the Director and Administrator of the HeartCry Missionary Society.
Washer became a believer while studying to become an oil and gas attorney at the University of Texas. After graduating, Paul moved to Peru and worked as a missionary for ten years, during which time he founded the HeartCry Missionary Society to support Peruvian church planters. HeartCry currently supports indigenous missionaries across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Eurasia, North America and Latin America.
Paul moved to the United States of America and settled in Radford, Virginia in 2010, where he continues his work as Mission Director for HeartCry. However, he is sometimes identified as part of the New Calvinism movement, although he has expressed his concern for the movement.
Washer’s preaching is distinguished by its emphasis on the need for radically different fruit in a Christian’s life after his conversion versus before it.
