Paul Workman is a Canadian journalist currently known for working at CTV News as the London GB Bureau Chief, filing his first report on February 3, 2009.
With over thirty years of experience in Canadian journalism, Paul has covered a multitude of national and international news events. Reporting from locations across Canada, the US, Europe and Asia, he covered notable events including the war in the Middle East, revolutionary changes in Eastern Europe and the tragic death of Princess Diana.
As head of the Washington Bureau since 2009, Workman oversaw CTV’s complete coverage of major events across the United States. Formerly based in New Delhi, he served as a South Asia reporter for CTV News, where he reported on the activities of Canadian forces in Afghanistan, the assassination of Benazir Bhutto and the overthrow of General Pervez Musharraf, former President of Pakistan.
Workman previously worked as a foreign journalist for CBC News, initially located in Paris and later in Jerusalem. He has experienced more than two decades of conflict and transformation, including two wars in Iraq, the first peace agreements between Palestinians and Israelis, and the overthrow of the Taliban in Afghanistan in December 2001. Other milestones in his career include participation in the entry of the army Canadian in Kosovo and joining the Germans in celebrating the fall of the Berlin Wall.
