Tim Drawbridge is an American broadcast meteorologist best known for working as a weekend meteorologist for News10 WTEN since July 2013. He joined the station after completing a ten-year tenure working at WNCE Channel 8 News based in Glens Fall. Tim is now known for delivering the most authentic and compelling weather stories alongside his colleagues Rob Lindenmuth, Matt Mackie and Jill Szwed live on News10 evening and morning news. Its most prominent and famous weather stories include tracking the latest hurricanes, storms and other weather conditions.
Drawbridge was born and raised in the suburbs of Esat End of Long Island, New York City, United States. He grew up as the oldest child in his family. Tim completed high school in his hometown. From there, he enrolled at Lyndon State College located on the northeast side of Vermont and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in meteorology and journalism. He is also a member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS).
Tim began his career as a broadcast journalist in 1993, working as a desk assistant and weather anchor for WSYM News based in Lansing, Michigan. It was here that he met coach Tim Izzo and they began participating in several games together. AT WSYM, Tim became known for covering the latest national weather reports, blizzards, storms and other weather reports.
In 2002, Tim left WZVN News in Fort Myers, Florida and became known for covering the intricate challenges of sea breeze fronts and tropical weather. In 2003, Drawbridge left Florida and returned to the Capital Region working for Capital News 9 and Spectrum News before finally making it to News 10. Drawbridge now appears as a weekend meteorologist for News 10. In 2022, it was confirmed that Tim is retiring from News 10. his job at News10 WTEN to work as Director of Communications for the City of Glen Falls. He won several awards like Best TV Presenter and Best in Capital Region in 2004 and 2007.
