Ybeth Bruzual is an American journalist who currently works as an anchor and reporter on Spectrum News 13. She joined Spectrum News 13 in June 1998. She is an anchor for the station’s morning news. Before joining her current broadcaster, she worked at Telemundo as a news anchor for 3 years.
Born in Venezuela and raised in Puerto Rico, Bruzual studied and graduated from Valencia College. She later attended the University of Central Florida where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Politics. After graduating, she began her career at Telemundo in 1995. After working there for quite some time, she moved to Spectrum News 13 Orlando, Florida, where she has been ever since.
In 2019, she was honored as one of Orlando’s Women of the Year. She is also a two-time Emmy winner. She won her first Emmy in 2016 for her coverage of the Orlando United Pulse wake and then won her second Emmy in 2019. Bruzual won her second Emmy for her coverage of Puerto Rico on the island and mainland in the series Hurricane Maria: Healing the Humanitarian Crisis. .
