Dave Mazza biography
Dave Mazza is an American chief meteorologist who currently works for NBC4 in Columbus. You can watch it on NBC4 weekdays at 4pm, 5pm, 5:30pm, 6pm, 7pm and 11pm. Mazza joined NBC4 in October 2012.
Prior to joining Storm Team 4, he worked across Texas – from NBC affiliates in San Angelo, West Texas, San Antonio and Austin, to the CBS affiliate in Corpus Christi. Mazza is a native of Crystal Lake, IL, where he studied Purdue University (Boiler Up!) and received his bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science.
Mazza’s first job was delivering newspapers twice a week – mostly to buy baseball cards (which he still has) and save money (which he no longer has). Prior to joining Storm Team 4, Dave worked across Texas – from NBC affiliates in San Angelo, West Texas, San Antonio and Austin, to the CBS affiliate in Corpus Christi.
Mazza joined the NBC4 team in October 2012. Also, Dave is a member from the American Meteorological Society and earned the prestigious AMS designation of Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (Seal #493).
