Brooks Garner is an American meteorologist who currently works as a meteorologist at WOFL FOX 35 in Orlando, Florida since June 2021. In addition, he broadcasts night weather. Prior to joining his current station, he worked as a morning weather forecaster for TV Denver at KDVR FOX 31 Denver in Denver, Colorado for a period of two years. 2021 was a good year for Brooks as in July 2021 he won the award for “Best Morning News”.
He attended and graduated from The Bromfield School with a high school diploma in 1998. He later joined the Massachusetts College of Arts and Design and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2003. He worked as a Web Developer in the field of Greater Boston as a freelance and weather producer for TV Boston n 7 News WHDH-TV in Boston.
Additionally, he attended a Certificate in Broadcast Meteorologist Program at Mississippi State University in 2007. During his certification course, he worked at KMEG 14 Siouxland News on Iowa TV Morning Meteorologist for 8 months, which is also where his career began. He later joined WACH FOX as a South Carolina TV weatherman in Columbia, where he served as a freelance nighttime understudy.

After his career journey, he moved to WIS-TV as a meteorologist for the South Carolina TV Evening at Columbia. He also worked on WFLA-TV News Channel 8 and WTTA-TV Great 38 as Tampa TV’s night weather forecaster and weekday science reporter.
Over the course of his career, he has received numerous awards, including an Emmy-Award for Outstanding Meteorologist in Houston in 2016, Edward R. Murrow in RTDNA in June 2018, an AP Award for Florida Associated Press Broadcasters in 2013, and an Emmy Award for the National Academy of Arts and Sciences in July 2021.
In her spare time, she loves hiking, mountain biking and running along with her wife and two daughters. In addition to his career story, he appeared in “My Own Love Song” a 2010 Hollywood movie as a weatherman. He also predicted “Accidental Love” in 2015 and “Death Sentence” in 2017 as a predictor.
