Jamie Ertle is a popular American meteorologist who currently serves as a meteorologist at the WTOC. She joined the station in the spring of 2015 and has received many hats since then. She rose through the ranks to become the manager after producing The News at age 6 and 11 and joined the meteorology team after earning a degree at Mississippi State (with the help of some classes at Georgia Southern).
Ertle was born in Charleston, South Carolina, United States of America while his father was based at Charleston AFB. She moved to Indianapolis as a child, attended college in Florida and couldn’t be more excited to live and work in Savannah.
Ertle used his off-air talents to raise funds and awareness for groups such as Court Appointed Special Lawyers in his version of Dancing with the Stars; she won the best dancer award and raised over $12,000. She is Bowled for AMBUCS Savannah’s “Big Wig” alumnus Susan G. Komen Coastal Georgia, and is an Alzheimer’s Association advocate.

Fast forward to the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry hurricane season, the Georgia Broadcaster’s Association recognized the WTOC weather team, including Ertle, with a Broadcast Excellence Award for their coverage of Hurricane Matthew.
