Kim Quintero is an American meteorologist and weather presenter who currently works at KTVK 3TV. She joined the KTVK 3TV Arizona team in February 2013. She can be seen on weekends on “Good Morning, Arizona!” from 6 am to 10 am, anticipating fun events and businesses throughout the Valley. Additionally, she can be seen weekdays in weather, traffic, and reports on CBS 5 and 3TV.
Quintero was born and raised in Fresno, California, but considers Arizona his true home. Before tracking Arizona’s monsoons, flash floods, dust storms, blizzards and wildfires, she was in Greenville, South Carolina, for a few years. While there, she recounted from the Carolina coast how superstorm Sandy and a few other hurricanes passed. During the destruction of the EF 2 tornado, she covered the story where homes and 10 people were injured in North Carolina. What’s more, Quintero tracked and predicted just about everything Mother Nature could dole out, from big sleets, freezing rain, and her legendary wet summers and “air you can use.”
Furthermore, before coming to the Southeast, Kim resided in the Pacific Northwest and served at a TV station in Eugene, Oregon for 2 years. While there, she reported and predicted for the Cascades, Willamette Valley and the Oregon Coast.
Quintero won several Associated Press awards, including Best Investigative Reporting in Oregon for an in-depth investigation into whether government institutions were equipped to respond to the massive destruction caused by a major earthquake. She recently won two NATAS Emmy Awards in Arizona for her work on AZ Family’s annual monsoon programs.

After receiving a BA in Mass Communication and Journalism from Fresno State University, Quintero started his career at a TV station in his hometown. She later completed the Geoscience Transmission Meteorology Program at State of Mississippi University.
