Michael Estime is an American broadcast meteorologist on the WBJK, Fox 2 Detroit as a meteorologist. Furthermore, he is a member of the National Weather Association. Prior to joining his current station, Estime worked at WKYC in Cleveland, Ohio, where he served as a weekend weatherman and a weekend co-host of the show “Live on Lakeside” for 4 years.
He attended and graduated from Central Michigan University with a BA in Meteorology with a major in Mathematics. Estime began his professional career in Macon Georgia, where he first served as the WMGT’s morning weather forecaster. He served as a morning meteorologist before his promotion to chief meteorologist.
While at WMGT, Estime experienced a little bit of everything from hot summers to hurricanes. He also worked at MHTV News Central 34 where he won the “Best Weathercaster” award for 3 consecutive years from 2006 to 2008.
He joined WKYC as a weekend weatherman and co-host. Prior to that, he worked for WTVG in Lexington, Kentucky, where he served as a morning, noon and noon weather forecaster. He later left the station and went to Detroit, Michigan. He currently serves as a meteorologist for WJBK, Fox 2 Detroit.
