Mike Witcher biography
Mike Witcher is an American weatherman who currently works as a morning weather forecaster on WBIR-TV for 10News Today and Noon. Furthermore, he joined the broadcaster in March 2005.
After his education, he enrolled in college after graduating from high school as a journalist. He attended the University of Northern Colorado, located in Greeley, Colorado, from 197 to 1998. While there, he majored in Journalism and majored in Political Science, earning a BA in Journalism and a Minor in Political Science in 2000. More later, in 2001, he enrolled in Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi, where he received a Certificate in Broadcast Meteorology in 2004.
His dream, however, was to become a reporter, but things changed when he started his first job as a photojournalist at KJCT-TV in Grand Junction, Colorado. After that, he later got the opportunity to work in the meteorology department. After his tenure at Grand Junction, he found himself packing up his belongings and headed to Colorado Springs to work at KOAA-TV.
At KOAA-TV, he worked as a weekend weatherman while also filming and editing news during the week. He finally got a full-time job at WBRI-TV after two and a half years at KOAA-TV. Later, a position at WeatherNationTV in Denver came up and he needed to take the opportunity to be at home with his family while also trying his hand at a national stage.
It was an amazing experience, and being able to spend time with family was even better. However, he went back and returned to his ‘old shoes’ but was thrilled to be back ‘at home’.
