Stephanie Abrams is a popular American television weatherman who has worked for The Weather Channel (TWC) since 2003. She currently co-hosts AMHQ weekday mornings with Jim Cantore and Jen Carfagno.
Abrams, a Space Camp graduate, earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in geography with a major in mathematics from University of Florida in Gainesville. she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa after graduation with honors. She was an active member of Delta Phi Epsilon Brotherhood and served as chapter president.
Abrams earned his second degree from Florida State University (FSU) in Tallahassee, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in meteorology. Abrams, like other Florida State meteorology students, practiced live forecasting on FSU Live, student-led news, and weather production on a Tallahassee cable channel. She worked as a teaching assistant at FSU, where she taught a meteorology class. “I think the teachers made a difference because they were so involved with the kids, and there were small classes there, so it was really nice for the class to hang out together, and it was nice to have that kind of environment,” she said. from FSU.
Stephanie got her first job as a morning weather forecaster at WTXL in Tallahassee, Florida, an ABC affiliate. Stephanie began co-hosting Wake Up along with Al Roker on weekday mornings from NBC Studios in New York on July 20, 2009. Additionally, she replaced Al Roker on Today and joined Sam Champion on America’s Morning Headquarters occasionally. (AMHQ). Abrams and Roker covered the 2010 Winter Olympics live from Vancouver for Wake Up With Al and AMHQ from February 8-28. After Wake Up With Al was canceled in 2015, Abrams returned to work at the Weather Channel’s Atlanta studios.
