Mike Everett Biography
Mike Everett is an American meteorologist currently working at KINGS 5 Media Group in Seattle, Washington, since joining in October 2021. Previously, he served as chief meteorologist at KMIR and KPSE, NBC’s affiliate for Palm Springs and California’s Coachella Valley. Additionally, he was Chief Meteorologist at NBC Palm Springs from September 2017 to October 2021.
Everett has firsthand knowledge of hurricanes, tropical storms, extreme tornadoes, torrential rains, devastating hail, blizzards and violent winds. He is a friendly and engaging presenter from western Canada who has traveled and lived all over the world. In addition, he has worked with stations in Florida, Colorado, California and most recently in Seattle, Washington.
Regarding his schooling, Mike graduated from University of Central Florida with a BA in Radio and Television. She later enrolled in the Mississippi State University, where he received his BA in Broadcast Meteorology. He also went to East Florida State College to seek an Associate of Arts in Radio, Television and Digital Communications.
Everett is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. He is the vice chairman of the board of directors of the Brevard Division of the Children’s Home Society of Florida. He also teaches meteorology courses at California State University, San Bernardino.
