Tyler Eliasen is an American meteorologist who has currently been working as a meteorologist at Fox 13 News since July 2017. Eliasen joined WVTV after a brief break from WMBB News 13 in Panama City, Florida, where he worked as a morning and midday weather forecaster. .
Tyler is a Chicago native and attended Valparaiso University, where he majored in Meteorology. While in school, Tyler began his career working as an in-house meteorologist at WAGA in Atlanta, WGN in Chicago, and WTTG in Washington, D.C.
After graduation, Eliasen moved to the Gulf Coast, working for WMBB in Panama City, Florida. While there, he covered various tropical and severe weather events while serving as the morning and midday weather forecaster. In February 2015, Tyler received the CBM (Certified Broadcast Meteorologist) designation by the American Meteorological Society.
When he’s not working, Tyler loves to hang out. You can easily find Tyler on the golf course, out for an evening jog, spending an afternoon at the beach with his wife Julie, and lighting up the grill whenever he gets the chance.
