Jordan Steele is an American meteorologist who currently serves as an on-air meteorologist for The Weather Channel (TWC) based in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to TWC, Steele worked as a meteorologist, now a host on Quibi. He also spent about three years working as a night meteorologist for the Seattle, Washington-based KING 5 Media Group. Steele also spent time appearing as a lifestyle host and weather anchor for an Austin TV station known as KEYE TV before moving to Washington.
Steele was born and raised in suburban USA. He grew up as a very smart and active boy who enjoyed doing science and math projects. After high school, Steele attended Northern Arizona University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Media and Film. He then received his Certificate in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University in 2011. Jordan began his career as a meteorologist working as a morning weather reporter for KEPR News in Pasco, WA.
His main duties at KEPR News included providing accurate live forecasts while assisting with weather assignments for KEPR’s local radio station. Jordan left KEPR and moved to Oregon in 2010. He joined KMTR News as a weekday morning weatherman and specialty reporter for the Eugene-based NBC affiliate. In 2012, Jordan left KMTR News and joined KEYE News in Texas as a lifestyle presenter and weather anchor.
He spent four years preparing and delivering very accurate and accurate forecasts for Central Texas and its surrounding cities for nearly four years until his departure in 2017. Jordan joined KING 5 News in Washington in late March 2017 until his departure in 2020 From there, he was able to work as a full-time meteorologist for Quibi until March 2020. Jordan has been working as a weather anchor for the Weather Channel since March 2020.
